Groom And Bride

Xavi
Straight from Barcelona, Xavi moved to Graz for love over a decade ago—and despite his best efforts, Austrian winters still catch him off guard. A devoted FC Barcelona fan and passionate skier, he brings boundless energy and an easygoing charm wherever he goes. He loves to play videogames, and, much to his dismay, consistently out-debated by the bride.

Nadine
Born and raised in Austria, Nadine is the mastermind behind this whole operation. Sharp, determined, and always a step ahead, she keeps Xavi on his toes. A book lover and passionate traveler, she embraces new ideas and challenges—though winning over the household cat remains a work in progress.

Welcome to Graz
Nestled in the heart of Styria, Graz is Austria’s charming second-largest city, known for its beautifully preserved old town, vibrant cultural scene, and delicious cuisine. With its mix of historic elegance and modern flair, Graz offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable stay.
How to get there
The easiest way to reach Graz is via Graz Airport (GRZ), located about 10 km south of the city. From the airport, you have several options:
- Taxi – A direct ride into the city center takes around 20 minutes.
- Train – The regional train from Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen station gets you to the main train station (Graz Hauptbahnhof) in about 12 minutes.
- If you are flying into Vienna International Airport (VIE), Graz is about 2.5 hours away by direct train direct from the airport or a short 40-minute connecting flight.
Where to stay
Graz is a very small city, offering a variety of accommodations, from stylish boutique hotels to cozy guesthouses.
Some great options in the center (100€-200€ per night) include:
- Lendhotel
- Hotel Daniel
- NH Graz City
- Motel One Graz
- Augarten Art Hotel
- Radisson Hotel Graz
For more budget-friendly options, Graz offers excellent guesthouses and apartments. We recommend looking for accommodation near the mentioned hotels to stay in a central and convenient location.
Getting around
Graz is a wonderfully walkable city, especially in the historic old town. For longer distances:
Trams and buses run frequently, and a single ticket is valid for both. The main hub is Jakominiplatz.
To explore the surrounding areas and the rest of the country, we highly recommend renting a car. If you need transportation to our wedding venue, just let us know—we’ll be happy to arrange a shuttle.

Our Story

The Beginning
In the crisp autumn of 2012, in the heart of Sweden, fate pulled two wandering souls together. We were both on Erasmus in Karlstad—strangers in a foreign land. Paths first crossed in a crowded lecture hall, but it was at an Irish pub on a chilly October night where everything changed.

The First Date
That night, we were just two friends grabbing a drink. We didn’t even realize it was a date, yet the sparks flew anyway. Between laughs, stories, and pints, something unspoken brewed in the air. We walked home under the starlit Scandinavian sky, unaware that destiny was already weaving our threads together.

A new Chapter
A year later, in 2013, we embraced what was undeniable. Our journey as a couple began, and every day since has been filled with shared adventures and quiet moments of bliss. Two cats joined the story, becoming guardians of our happiness as we built a life together.

The return of the Jedi
From that chance encounter in a distant country, we forged a love story that transcended borders, years, and expectations. What began as an unexpected night at an Irish pub became the epic tale of us—still unfolding, still magic!
